2 ► Conformity assessment
Imported food conformity assessment activities include: assessment and review of food safety management systems of overseas countries (regions) that export food to China, registration of overseas production enterprises, filing of importers and exporters and qualification assurance, examination and approval of entry animal and plant quarantine, and accompanying qualification certificates Inspection, document review, on-site inspection, supervision and random inspection, import and sales record inspection and the combination of each.
If the imported wine meets the requirements after the qualification assessment, the customs will issue the 'Incoming Goods Inspection and Quarantine Certificate' (currently it has been digitized, and enterprises can log in to the 'Single Window' of China International Trade, query electronic information and download it by themselves).
If it does not meet the requirements, and if the items related to safety, health and environmental protection are unqualified, the customs will notify the food importer in writing and order it to destroy or return it; if other items are unqualified, it will only be allowed to import if it meets the requirements of conformity assessment after technical treatment. .
