Announcement on Supplementary Phytosanitary Requirements for Imported Fresh Citrus from South Africa
General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 47 of 2026
In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of my country and the provisions of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of South Africa on the supplementary phytosanitary requirements for South African citrus exported to China, the cold treatment indicators for South African fresh citrus (except lemons) exported to China will be adjusted from now on. The relevant requirements are now announced as follows:
1. Cold treatment indicators should meet any of the following conditions:
(1) -0.2 °C or below (pulp temperature), continuous treatment for 16 days or more.
(2) 1.0 °C or below (pulp temperature), treated continuously for 19 days or more.
2. Other requirements for the export of South African fresh citrus to China shall be implemented in accordance with the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 66 of 2021.
